As the director of Receptive Psychology, I bring over 10 years of experience in the criminal justice system and private practice. I have worked with both perpetrators and victims of crime, specializing in trauma and personality disorders. My approach is centered around developing a respectful and trusting relationship with each client, allowing for meaningful change and growth. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In addition to my work in forensic psychology, I also provide training and teaching in various areas of psychology. I am passionate about assisting the learning of others and contributing to a stronger and safer community through collective growth.

Our team at Receptive Psychology also includes a forensic psychologist with extensive experience in assessing and treating perpetrators of crime. With a focus on violence, alcohol and other drugs, and risky driving behavior, our forensic psychologist is dedicated to helping individuals make positive changes in their lives. They are also a board-approved supervisor in psychology, providing supervision for training psychologists.

Another member of our team is a registered psychologist with experience in both the forensic and non-forensic space. With a warm and empathic approach, they are committed to supporting clients in their journey towards personal growth. They specialize in comprehensive assessments relating to mental health, cognitive ability, and memory, ensuring that each client receives a unique treatment plan tailored to their needs.

Located on Heidelberg Road, our practice is conveniently situated on the same floor as The Local Doctor Ivanhoe. You do not need to be a patient at this clinic to access our services. Upon arrival, our friendly receptionist will guide you to our waiting area. Free undercover parking is available, with the entrance on Rose St, and we are just a short walk from Darebin train station.
