At MUSE Counselling, we have a collective of amazing individuals who strive to provide essential services to support individuals, families, and communities. Our commitment is to help people gain the knowledge and skills needed to make positive decisions in their lives. We believe in providing a safe space where individuals can feel empowered, educated, and supported, all while respecting their autonomy and integrity without passing judgement.

One of our flagship programs is the Inspire Recovery & Wellbeing Programme, which is conducted in association with The Clear Project and the PHA (Public Health Agency). We are thrilled to announce the continued support from these organizations for our program. The aim of the Inspire program is to provide psychoeducation and support individuals in reflecting on their ability to manage their mental wellbeing. Through group discussions and creative writing, participants are encouraged to identify resilience, inclusion, empowerment, creativity, and self-awareness. The program inspires participants to reconnect with positive resilience that they may have disconnected from in the past.

The Inspire Recovery & Wellbeing Programme is open to anyone with an interest in enhancing their mental health and wellbeing. It helps participants recognize their strengths, skills, abilities, and resilience. Additionally, the program encourages participants to connect with others, engage in physical activity, continue learning, give back to their community, and practice mindfulness and awareness – the five steps to wellbeing as outlined by the PHA and the Clear Project.

Another exciting project we are currently working on is Pathways to Change, in collaboration with the Derry City & Strabane Policing & Community Safety Partnership. Thanks to the funding received from this partnership, we are able to support clients, their families, and the community even further. Pathways to Change aims to assist individuals serving probation orders or on release licenses, families with members at risk of criminal behavior, and those with juvenile justice orders. Our goal is to support resettlement, healthy decision-making, and moving away from crime-related behavior, while also applying a systemic approach to support their families.

At MUSE Counselling, we offer a range of services to help individuals and their families, including individual counseling, family support, and couples counseling. We understand the challenges related to crime-related behavior, adverse childhood experiences, addictions/substance misuse, relationships, attachment issues, transgenerational trauma, domestic or sexual abuse, mental health, and unhealthy emotional disconnect.
