"I made an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection, which the dealer insisted on bringing in himself. That was an obvious red flag on the dealer's end, but I accompanied him and hoped for the best since this place was so highly rated on google. Of course, as soon as we arrived it was obvious the mechanic was expecting the dealer and didn't even acknowledge my presence until I introduced myself as the person who had called to make the appointment. They then didn't do a pre-purchase inspection at all but only the dodgiest ten-minute roadworthy check I've ever seen, without any kind of report provided. I would have been pushier to get what I asked for but it was obvious I wasn't going to learn anything trustworthy anyway, so I smiled and nodded and then took it somewhere else during the 48-hour money back guarantee window, without the dealer's involvement, for a proper, thorough, documented inspection."
