"Autocare Ipswich, Richard Peasey , Jade and the amazing mechanics as a team helped me through a dire car buying experience. I bought a car online from dealer on Gold Coast. It took over a week to get the finance. Picked the car up on Monday, the next day an engine light appeared. The vehicle was under warranty, the warranty company sent me to Autocare Ipswich to service the issue. As it turned out the clever observant mechanic noticed a harsh knocking noise when he test drove it. It turns out the vehicle was definitely unroadworthy. Richard set about to task himself to speak with the owner of the dealership on my behalf to explain what was found to be unroadworthy with this vehicle. He absolutely went into bat for me. At that point , especially thinking about a loan wilthout a vehicle, I felt I was in a totally vulnerable situation, unable to know how to deal with this. Richard professionally explained it clearly to the dealership owner, it did take a couple of intense phone calls, but he did managed to convince the dealer this car was completely unroadworthy. The dealer was willing to take the car back and return my trade in vehicle. This was an absolutely amazing outcome for me. Richard as a very ethical businessman, helped me out, even though it was not his job to take on that responsibility. The car was so unroadworthy, Richard offered to drive me home, so as not to drive that vehicle at all. "I found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. The work was all explained in detail so I knew what the problem was and what needed to be done. As for the actual work done- all seems to be very thorough. Richard really gave me the sense that he cares and I believe he is a very genuine and honest mechanic- which is super rare! Only negative was the time it took and a little miscommunication- I was a little annoyed that at one point they told me that they wouldn't charge me for a small part but then charged me anyway, but whatever, it's no big deal and all minor stuff that won't stop me from going back. "Richard and his staff are professional in every sense of the world, the workshop is modern and clean. It made me feel confident that I was in good hands and they didn't disappoint me. They explained in a way I could understand what was probably wrong with my car and what may need to be done to repair it. They rang me before they started the work, after they worked out what the problem was, for such a cheap part that had failed, the big cost was in the time it took to replace it, because of the difficult position of the part due to the design of the car.
