"Before I post this review, my sincere recommendation to all women: No doctor has the right to play God with your body. Always seek multiple opinions and trust your own instincts. I am a 40 year old woman struck down with terminal cancer due to Dr Ades' negligence . Read on to know more. I contacted Dr Ades based on his glowing online reviews. I had been experiencing pain , abdominal bloating and irregular periods and the ultrasounds and MRI scans had shown a cyst on my right ovary. I contacted Dr Ades and he recommended a laparoscopic cystectomy. Before any surgeon does that, they are required to run tunor markers to rule out possibility of cancer. Dr Ades did none of that and simply pushed me to have surgery. This is negligence at its worst. His fee was five times more than what other surgeons charge but I agreed thinking I was going to the best. After surgery, he told me that he could not see any cyst on my ovary!! I was confounded as all ultrasounds and MRI tests had shown the presence of a complex cyst. I was unable to understand why the cyst was not visible to Dr Ades and had an ultrasound the very next day which showed the cyst was still very much present . I complained to his office and Dr Ades was extremely rude and said " I couldn't see any cyst, should I just remove your ovary" . He insisted there was nothing on the ovary and I have his emails to prove that. Upon many to and fro emails, he agreed to refund the surgery fee but kept telling me to not have another laproscopy done as it was not required. He also challenged me by asking me to supply my histopathology reports if I ever have surgery. Such arrogance just because he could not admit a mistake he made! I have my body time to heal and got in touch with another surgeon and had surgery done a few months later. The surgeon removed the cyst successfully. Sadly the cyst turned out to be ovarian cancer which had metastasised to my pelvis and omentum in the one year between surgeries. I am now fighting for my life. Had Dr Ades taken out the cyst in time, the cancer would not have spread this much. I hold Dr Ades responsible for putting me in this predicament. I have two young kids who face the prospect of growing up motherless. Please do your research and don't let yourself be bulldozed into submission or there might be tragic consequences like I am facing"
