"Why can’t we give zero star ratings? I was recommended to see this person many years ago - rave reviews. When I went in for my first visit, he quickly read through my referral, then gruffly asked what made me think I had what was suggested in the referral. I explained, and after a quick examination, was booked in for a laperoscopy. At my follow up appointment I asked about the wound possibly being infected as I usually heal well, so this didn’t seem right. I was called a wuss. I have since found (from reading a review on another site), that I’m not the only one to have been spoken to this way. I did something I don’t usually do to medical professionals, and blasted him. I walked out to a waiting room full of pregnant women all looking at me because they wanted to see who was screaming at the doctor! Never went to him again, and will not recommend him to any of my friends or family."

"Awesome experience. He was our obstetrician for our first kid. He is so practical and addresses your concerns and doubts with patience and clear answers. He is open to questions and is not in a hurry to send you off and see the next patient. With some negative reviews floating around, we were apprehensive initially too. But after the first visit, we were blown away by his experience, depth of knowledge and passion. While he does see only private medical insurance patients now, he doesn't charge a gap fee, saving you so much money. Go to him . You would not regret. I'm sure he would be the one, for any kids we have in future. Have recommended him to our friends and have got similar feedback from them too"

"Dr Calandra is a very skilful doctor. He has the highest concern of safety for his patients. I had my baby with him last month and I would not go to any other doctor if I intend to have another baby. He is very caring and would answer to all your questions during your pregnancy without the limitation of time. He is a very straight forward and rational person. So he wont sugar quote things for you. His staff Penny and Fiona make your experience even more pleasant during the appointments. I would highly recommend him."
