"A classic local that isn't worried about modern feels or stature. If you want a stop over brew or a catch up a simple pub then maybe this is the place to consider. Simple pub food that isn't "top notch", but fills the spot. Large range of beers with a classic watering hole feel with a eccentric U shape bar. Available for functions whilst being open late each day. Sports and tab are a mainstay."

"Firstly, I don't do one-off reviews. if I write about a place I've been there at least twice, probably more. Elgin Inn is a pub, and you're getting pub-grub. What stands it out is the ambience, the quality of the food and the excellent service. You can enjoy the sports bar area with the numerous screens showing numerous sports, or the more private dining area or in summer the rooftop tables area. Great. The food is better than your standard pub fare, it's well prepared there's a very good range (try the crying Caesar Pizza or the 350gm Black Angus rump! ) and it's delicious. what stands out is the service. Excellent. Very helpful, very cheerful staff whose focus is to make you enjoy your stay. (Hope you get Anna - she's a beaut.) Easily my favourite pub and a great place to enjoy a meal with the family - or with a mate watching the game. Will go back, as I always do."
