The Pancake Parlour 509 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South, Victoria 3152

"Management and staff need further training. Went in for dinner tonight and my partner ordered a beer. We asked the waitress to come back in 2 mins for our food order. Another waitress came back with our drinks and asked to see his ID (he is 29), he didn't have it on him but offered a photo of his license on his phone which was not accepted. The beer was taken away, despite 3 of the 4 people on the table being over 18. The problem here is not being refused alcohol. He was not offered a different drink, nor did anyone come back over to take our food order. It was not busy and there were multiple staff floating around that could've served us. We ended up leaving as my 11 year old brother was hungry, and instead went to Schnitz where we paid half the amount we would've at Pancake Parlour and received significantly better service. I worked in hospitality for the better part of 12 years and specifically managed restaurants and bars for over 7. I, better than most, understand the stress of the job and do not ever make complaints. The poor training and attitude of management tonight was striking and we (unfortunately) will not be returning to Pancake Parlour Knox."

"We took our two poodles for brunch at the Knox City store. Good outdoor area with plenty of wind protection and overhead heaters. Dogs are very welcome in this area. We had the lunch specials for $15.50 each - a limited menu but included Tabriz and the farmers breakfast. Both good sized portions. We added desserts and wine so ended up spending way more than we intended!"

"Called in for a late dinner at 9pm on a week night the service was great and the food was delicious. Prompt and friendly service. Will definately return again soon."

"We ordered choc hazelnut crepes, short stack and cottage fries. The crepes were crispy (burnt) and fries were soggy. They’ve 10% surgecharge on weekends and 15% on public holidays. We ended up paying $45 for burnt and soggy food. Very disappointed. 2 stars for the short stack. Not visiting again."

"Date/time of visit: 13 June 2022 at 9:15pm (approx) Stopped in for a light meal after a movie. The venue had a good relaxing atmosphere. The food was good. I was a little concerned the crepe had been burnt on the top but it didn't taste like it - just crispy. The food was good and consistent with previous visits over the years (except for the crispy crepe top - don't remember if that's normal). Public holiday surcharge was 15%. Price of the beef mexican crepe and chicken Mexican crepe felt a little high (without the surcharge) - it's an enjoyable meal but the price point just a little high for what it is and what you get. But this is the way with dining out these days and we'll have to be mindful of such costs. Because of the cost factor I've dropped it to 3 stars. Pancake Parlour is good and enjoyable, nothing wrong with the food, staff were friendly and helpful but pricing just a tad high for what it is. I would like to give 4 stars and would have done so sometime ago."
