"This place is a treasure and SE Brisbane’s best kept secret. There is a takeaway and dine in restaurant menu. We dined in and tried a few dishes. We had crab sliders, s&p calamari, prawn spaghetti, the Chefs Special (main), fries with aioli, and dessert to finish. Everything was cooked, presented, tasted beautifully. The Chef’s special of squid ink crab pasta was absolutely divine. Excellent service and a very welcoming and friendly host. These guys deserve to do well. We will be back again very soon!"
"Was very keen to try/support this new local business. Specifically went for the mussels & they were sold out by lunch (12pm) & two additional dishes on the menu also sold out, not a great look for a new restaurant considering the small menu. We had to ask for water for the table twice after we sat & didn't find the waitress super friendly or easy /clear to understand. Maybe it's just a teething issues being a new venue but first impressions are important & not sure that we will be going back."
"OMG! Sensational seafood, and the portions are very generous. The food is obviously fresh as can be, and this is exceptionally well loved, cooked and presented. We had the South Australian mussels - Sicilian chilli and tomato broth, house bread, and WOW, this was soul food for a slightly chilly day. We asked if we could share , and on arrival of our meal, they had separated the mussels into two bowls for us, my partner commented to the lovely French waitress, “ we only ordered 1” but she explained it was one meal but they had separated them into bowls for us, each with an amazingly toasted piece of artisan bread! We asked for more bread as the serving was so generous, my partner had to get a container to take some home ( I smashed mine!), offers to pay and the chef said “I'm not going to charge you for bread! It was an exceptional food experience for us, a can't recommend highly enough!"
"Had a lovely meal ,the food was fresh and very generous,it's a little hidden gem in the burbs , definitely give it a try .."
"We decided to try this cafe as we have wanted to come here for sometime. After dining in for lunch today, we won’t be back. First off, the place was empty and stayed that way for the next couple of hours. To order a coffee, the diner is required to go to the next door cafe to order and pay for it. They then bring it in for you. Very inconvenient. We ordered one seafood platter which consisted of what’s in the below photo which when paying I was told I had to pay $95 per person. (paid $190) So, you can’t just have one seafood platter for one. READ the menu carefully! They don’t have their door shut, so we had to contend with at least six flies landing on our food while we were trying to eat it. The oysters tasted old, a strong taste, and when I questioned how old they were, the chef told me that they came in yesterday. He did offer to replace the oysters that were left with some other ones, which we declined. I am an oyster lover and they really didn’t taste like yesterdays to me. The other seafood and the salad that came with the platter was nice. When I rang the cafe in the evening, I said I only asked for one seafood platter, the wait staff told me it was a minimum for two. I told her I was going to write a review to make people aware of the per person bit and I told her we won’t be back and she said “no problem’. I said to her it should be a problem because they have lost us as customers and potential customers I was going to bring with me, she said again “thats no problem”. I have had bigger seafood platters for two and have never paid such an exorbitant amount before."
