"So I went to Bunnings because my avocado tree was growing in soil that was too alkaline. Approached old mate and asked for Yates Soil Acidifier because there was none on the shelf and the website said it was in stock, but low in stock. Old mate said no, there's no stock but picked up garden lime and said "this is essentially exactly the same thing though". Great, except it isn't. Spread the lime around my tree which promptly went from bad to worse and then died - only then did I do my own research to find that garden lime is literally the opposite of soil acidifier and actually makes the soil even more alkaline. Educate your staff please Bunnings or inform them not to comment if they're unsure because old mate's terrible advice has killed my avocado tree."
"My recent trip to Bunnings left me thoroughly impressed. With its ample on-site parking and convenient access, it made for a hassle-free visit. Additionally, the provision of on-site toilets proved to be an excellent convenience, particularly for us tradespeople. What stood out the most to me was the ever-friendly Bunnings staff, always ready to assist and guide you through their expansive range of products. Whether you're an avid DIY enthusiast or a seasoned tradesman like me, Bunnings has just about everything you could need, making equipment procurement a breeze. Moreover, I must commend their well-organized loading bay and the readily available help with loading purchases into my Ute for the journey back home - a service that makes a substantial difference. To top it all off, Bunnings' unbeatable lowest prices policy makes the shopping experience even more satisfying. They promise to beat any competitor's lower price on the same in-stock item, including GST and delivery charges, by 10%. This does not apply to trade quotes, stock liquidations, commercial quantities, and items sold by other Bunnings Group businesses and Bunnings Marketplace. If you come across a lower price online on a product sold by Bunnings, simply contact their Customer Support, and they will process the price guarantee and place your order. In conclusion, Bunnings offers a comprehensive solution to all your trade needs, paired with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and the best prices in the market. I couldn't recommend them more!"
"A nice, big store with plenty of underground parking. Big selection, very convenient location. If you're heading up to garden / electrical, etc. and the travelator is either not working (too regular an occurrence) or moving super-slowly (also usual), better bet sometimes is elevators (to your left as you enter the store.)"
"“If a child exhibits poor manners or behaviour it’s the fault of their upbringing and not the individuals.” Bunnings Newstead is my closest store and I visit it frequently on weekdays and on weekends. I have raised two internal complaints regarding inappropriate banter to customers, staff unhelpfulness, laziness, and in one case blatant rudeness. Despite my complaints, management do not keep them under control with most staff under 20 the store has a distinct culture of indiscipline and irrelevance to customers or repeat regulars. For example, on a quiet week night, I completed a large purchase with the kids and family at the self serve, monitored by a young boy and girl chatting away. We go to leave and she asks to check our receipt. We were the only customers at the station. If she was doing her job and observing instead of chatting she would have seen we scanned all the items. On another occasion, I got some keys cut and the boy makes me wait for service while he finishes his non work related conversation with another girl. I collect the keys, pay for the job but he leaves without handing me the receipt. Another girl at the counter prints it for me. Getting help is extremely difficult at that store, it’s as though they avoid it or try to brush you off as quickly as possible. In summary, feels like the staff at that store were brought up without manners, not trained, managed or drilled to provide customer service skills. The store has an uncomfortable vibe about it."
"One of the best Bunnings stores in Brisbane and it is located on 2 levels. Plenty of parking underneath the store and they have more variety than other Bunnings store."
