Welcome to the Ronald McDonald Family Room Western, located at Saint Albans, Furlong Road, 176. Our establishment is a point of interest and a refuge for families visiting or staying with a child in the Joan Kirner Women and Children's Hospital.

Step away from the clinical environment of the ward and enter our inviting Family Room, where you'll find kitchen and bathroom facilities, complimentary refreshments, a comfortable family lounge, a dining area, and a space for the kids to play. We understand the challenges families face during these difficult times, which is why our dedicated team of volunteers is ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

Our mission is to provide a home-away-from-home experience within the hospital, offering a respite from the stresses of the medical setting. The Ronald McDonald Family Room is free and open to all families whose children are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at Western Health.

Located close to the Children's ward on Level 6 of the Joan Kirner Women and Children's Hospital, our Family Room has been designed to create a warm and homely atmosphere. You'll find a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, and complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks. There's also a comfortable family dining area, a cosy lounge with a TV and rapid charge point for your devices, and a play area stocked with books, toys, and games for children of all ages. Our relaxing lounge area also provides free computers with complimentary Wi-Fi for your use.
