"Pretty sure the seafood risotto was their paella, needed to be reheated and seasoned when served second time, the seafood misto not worth the price with seafood not being fresh as you can usually rely on Williamstown to provide, and could only eat half of it as it was drenched in butter. Lovely woman serving, offered us comp drinks or dessert to which we declined but she was super efficient, professional and fast being the only server especially. Was cold in the front dining room too even if it was nearly full. Edit post owner response: nice to see your server had better hospo manners with comp offer than your response but your seafood was NOT fresh in either dish, risotto was paella and no salt or pepper seasoning and I am a massive butter and cream seafood fan so misto is a favourite but when you can't even see the fish swimming under the "sauce" and you skipped lunch to save room for this meal and can't eat half won't be back and was ashamed to take my friend there to experience Williamstown fresh seafood, when a chef has to first ask for a risotto to be put in the microwave and then ask for cracked pepper and salt a seafood "risotto" that tastes like main paella is just embarrassing. Won't be back.,"
"Very friendly and attentive staff. Extensive "pub" menu. Good variety of wines on the list. Our group of 5 booked dinner before another engagement, notified the hosts in advance, and our meals were served well within our time limitations. Very happy with our experience."
"Had lunch with the family. The venue has great charm and the meals and service were great. Lamb shank was sensational. However there was no background music whatsoever and the amazing fireplaces were not alight. Why a venue like this (on a winters day) would not create a nice warm atmosphere by lighting the fire and providing some nice soft background music is bewildering."
"Our experience there was ok. Nothing extraordinary, just a pub with a Resturant. Nice decor with stained windows. Food was ok again standard pub food. Cocktail was delicious. The Saturday night we went for dinner, they were completely understaffed. Our table would have spent a lot more on drinks if the service was more attentive. Then when the Karaoke started we moved outside to get away from the noise."
"Let me just say that the staff were lovely (thanks Kyle) the decor was classic and the vibe was good. So it pains me to have to say that this was the WORST chicken parmigiana I have EVER had. I got the Aussie parma and It was dreadful. Burnt, rock hard, tough and tasteless - truly awful. I almost sent it back to the kitchen but it took FOREVER to get our meals and the other meals had by my table are delightful- my dining guests loved their meals. A little bit pricey for the serving size, if I ever go back, or if you are going - do not order the parma - try anything else!"
