Our founder, Jeanette, is a highly experienced Piano Teacher who has achieved the Performance Diploma A. Mus. A with AMEB. She is also a qualified Secondary School Teacher, with 10 years of teaching experience in Queensland High schools before opening her private studio. Jeanette recognizes the potential in each student and employs a customized learning approach to ensure their self-esteem and skill-set consistently improve. She is passionate about sharing her love for music and has seen great success with her teaching system since starting as a private teacher in 1987.

As a Professional Member of QMTA, the Music Association of Queensland, Jeanette actively participates in professional development opportunities to enhance her teaching skills and stay up-to-date with the latest technology. She understands the importance of building a strong foundation in music education and incorporates rhythm, aural skills, singing, and playing by rote in her lessons, even before students begin reading sheet music. Jeanette's lessons are designed to meet each student's individual needs, with an emphasis on fun and confidence-boosting activities.

Many students choose to use a grading system to measure their progress, and Jeanette primarily uses AMEB up to Grade 8 level and Certificate of Performance. Additionally, she offers Theory of Music tuition up to Grade 5 level. While focusing on these goals, Jeanette encourages her students to explore a variety of genres to enhance their musical repertoire.

We understand the importance of transparency when it comes to pricing. Our fees are in line with the guidelines set by our Association, QMTA. For a minimum 10-week commitment of one State school Term, our fees are as follows: 30 minutes a week is $400, 45 minutes a week is $580, and 60 minutes a week is $780. These fees guarantee your place in our studio and ensure that Jeanette can provide dedicated attention to your musical development. Lessons are to be prepaid and can be paid monthly. For those with a busy schedule, we also offer a Casual Rate of $47 per 30-minute lesson.

Our studio provides a comfortable learning environment, with an air-conditioned room separate from the home. Students can enjoy their lessons in any season, and parents are welcome to use the sofa while listening to their child's lesson. Parent presence is encouraged, especially for young children, as it helps reinforce the lessons and supports home practice.

Jeanette's qualifications include a performance diploma, Associate in Music Australia, as well as a teaching diploma in Queensland Secondary Education. She continuously enhances her education through various Professional Development workshops and webinars over the past 30 years.
