With a stunning $24 million sports arena, we offer state-of-the-art facilities that cater to a wide range of sports including netball, basketball, futsal, hockey, and badminton. The fully air-conditioned arena can seat up to 3,000 spectators and meets national standards for sporting events.

One of our standout features is the Olympic-standard, 10-lane, 50-meter heated pool, along with a six-lane 25-meter pool, cold immersion and warm plunge pool, and aquatic recovery equipment. This elite training ground is utilized year-round by both recreational swimmers and Olympic and Paralympic champions.

Our institution also boasts two fully-equipped indoor gyms with the latest equipment, including indoor and outdoor functional training zones. Whether you are a high-performance athlete or a beginner, our gym instruction caters to all fitness levels.

For outdoor sports enthusiasts, we have multipurpose playing fields that cater to Rugby Union, Rugby League, Football, Cricket, and AFL training. These fields are equipped with lighting for night-time play, ensuring you can enjoy your favorite sport at any time.

The IAAF-standard athletics track at our institution features eight and ten-lane running tracks and equipment for various track and field events such as hurdles, steeplechase, javelin, shot-put, discus, hammer-throw, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and disabled throw events.

UniSC also offers outdoor hard courts for tennis, basketball, and netball, with night lighting available for after-dark competitions.

Our services also include injury prevention testing, athlete periodization and programming, and strength and conditioning services. Our physical performance coaches (PPC) use assessment and screening, individualized training and conditioning, required recovery, and overall load management to help high-performance athletes achieve their athletic potential.

At UniSC, we believe that you can succeed in both study and sport. With the right support, you can achieve your personal best in both areas. Our exercise scientists use the science of human movement to help people improve their health and fitness and prevent common lifestyle diseases.

In addition to our sport science courses, we offer majors in journalism, management, marketing, public relations, tourism, leisure and event management, or sport and exercise nutrition. These majors provide you with the skills to become job-ready for a successful career in your chosen field.

UniSC takes pride in being a Foundation Principal Partner of the Sunshine Coast's first national sports team, the Sunshine Coast Lightning. This netball team trains and plays home games at the UniSC Arena, showcasing the talent and dedication of our athletes.

We also support the Sunshine Coast Thunder netball club, which provides a stepping stone for netballers looking to progress from grassroots to professional netball. Additionally, we are proud partners with ACA, an elite training academy that takes an athlete-centric approach to high-performance cycling coaching.

Our high-performance swim team includes Olympic and Paralympic medallists who train at the USC pool under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Mooney.

UniSC is the official Tertiary Education Partner of the Dolphins NRL, providing work-integrated learning opportunities for our students and research opportunities for our academic staff.

We also offer a free social sports program for UniSC staff and students, where you can get fit, have fun, and make new friends.
