"Brilliant school! Wonderful teachers, excellent Principal and management team and a beautiful place to learn."
"I went to this school for primary and for the most part the teachers were nice but not much was being done about bullying, the teachers have changed since I have been but for all I know the office ladies that work at the front desk are the same and they are very nice and you are able to trust them."
"Went here from 2011 to 2017. Good area close to the beach which could sometimes make it very windy, decent playgrounds and a oval right across the road. One issue I had at my time here was how I was treated by some teachers, I have disorders which I wasn't diagnosed with at the time and was a bit of a trouble maker. Most of the teachers didn't understand me or how I was Leading to me getting suspended over and over again, I felt like I was being target one teacher even called me a name Infront of my class and all my friends which was very humiliating for me. along with my bad experiences with teachers I also had some extremally amazing teachers that have helped me stay on the right track, they understood me and one of them is the reason I got a diagnosis. Shoutout to my 3rd grade, 6th grade teachers and also the at the time deputy principle they are the reason I made it through."
"I have nothing but high praise for all of the staff at Humpybong State School. Not only is the level of professionalism at a very high level as is the education standard. It is the sense of welcoming joy that I am greeted with every time i am there when i drop off or pick up my daughter. This is a school that takes the job very seriously and does not accept any inequitable behaviour at all . This proactive attitude is to be found from the the top to the bottom across all staff that work at the school. They are to be congratulated for taking what they do so seriously and making all feel so welcome. Our daughter has come so far under their guidance. we are so grateful for such amazing commitment."
"My daughters attended Humpybong State School from prep to Years 1 & 2. During their time there the school's culture of bullying became alarmingly apparent. My children were bullied everyday, sometimes coming home in tears. Their education was not supported by the teachers and my youngest fell behind. I am a very active parent and strongly support homework & the need for a parent to support their education in a home environment to; but it becomes very difficult when your children's teachers treat your children in such a manner that it discourages them from learning & the child is ostracised from the group. After many meetings with school about bullying and their education plan, I decided enough was enough and withdrew my children from the school. Only 3 weeks of the term have pasted at their new school and my youngest is no longer falling behind and my eldest has not once come home upset due to bullying. I highly recommend that before you send your children to a school to talk to parents of older children there, do your research and make sure the school is suitable for your children. #digustedparent #educationshouldbevalued"
