"Loved it. Met some of my best friends in life there. Easy to skip school, good tuck shop and great surf close by. Highly recommend."
"As a senior student in Grade 11 which as spent currently 4 years attending this school, it fair to say, this school may have had its ups and down, but this school stick together through the rough times and comes our stronger, through the pandemic, the school was quite fast a setting up online learning, make sure we wont struggle with school at home. 100% reccomend to parents!"
"I am writing this review for the sole purpose of informing other parents of what this school is like and why you should definitely NOT send your child/ren here. My daughter attended this school for years 8-11 (left halfway through year 11 to attend a different school). First of all, the administration or one lady in particular was absolutely horrible to my daughter and other students. She treated them like they were criminals if they were late to school and had to sign in at the office. I'm a single mother who works full time so my daughter had to catch 2 buses to get to and from school, occasionally these buses were late or didn't show at all through no fault of my daughters however she would often be scolded by the office lady and questioned as though she had done something wrong. If you're working at a school and you cant treat the students with kindness and respect then I don't understand why you would work there at all. Especially after changing my daughter to a different school and seeing how the office ladies treated the students there with politeness and professionalism, I was astounded at the contrast. Because it is such a small school the resources available are often limited, the extra-curricular activities were virtually non-existent and in the senior years when students select their OP subjects that will be the basis of their OP score upon graduation, many classes that would be available at most other schools are not here due to the small class numbers or lack of teachers, leaving your child with a limited selection of subjects. I believe there was even some talk about the school being shut down at some point (due to the small number of enrolled students) in all honestly I think that would have been the best decision for the QLD education department to make. I could go on about the reasons why you should avoid this school like the plague but I will leave with what I've already discussed. It should be noted that when my daughter was about to enter high school and I told a lady who worked at a local store that I was sending my daughter to Balmoral she warned me not to. If only I listened."
