"Teachers were nice to me but, they treated me like a BABY because I was special ed. They also didn't stop me being bullied in year 3 and they did nothing about it. I was 6F in 2022 and my initials are W.R for anyone who sees this from ironside. There was so much stigma around being Chinese and autistic. Do not discriminate people based on their race. In summary, this was a VERY bad school. Oh, I just wrote a TEEL paragraph, so the teachers really did help me, but they forced me to not eat food and stay inside until I wrote my first one. (update) A teacher assistant (Aid) was SPEEDING in the roads around the school and almost killed my mom. She is one of the Indian ones. Don't know her name. I'm not trying to be racist, but she did do that."
"This school is quite bad. Some of the teachers are great but most of the teachers are not. When I was in year 3, I was struggling with my English and writing. One time we had to write a story for an assessment. The next week my teacher (Mr Murdoch) read it out loud to the class and said "This isn't how you should write a story". In the middle of the year, he became the deputy principal of 1 & 2(I think) and my new teacher was a lot better but he is still the Deputy principal to this day and I left in year 5 but I hear that Ironside has gotten worse since then."
"Came here for my last 3 years of primary school, and I can say it was probably the best 3 years of my life! Most of the staff there are amazing, dedicated teachers that care about their students, their teaching methods are great and effective and they make sure that all students understand the topic before moving on. Facilities are decent, and there are many extracurricular activities and opportunities that are given to all students. School events are extremely fun and is mostly something to look forward to. Sure, not everyone there was pleasant but we all got there in the end unscarred (and the tuckshop/school canteen could be improved by A LOT). Even though the graduating cohort of 2022 were pretty unlucky and missed out on study tours, camps etc thanks to COVID-19, every year still managed to be incredible and memorable, Nevertheless, I made some unforgettable, long-lasting great memories there with all the students and teachers and I look forward to visiting ISS again soon! :) - 6B 2022 graduate (+ to those who say that we were rude to them in interschool sport, it was most likely just a small group of students which does not represent the whole cohort, we are not a horrible bunch of kids)"
"Went to this school for 7 years and my experience was pretty great! Would’ve given my school 5 stars besides the fact that teachers liked the previous cohorts better, teachers were somewhat biased, and the fact that some relief teachers were not up to my expectations. Either way, gave it 4 stars since I basically spent like my whole childhood there."
"It is one of the most recognized schools in Brisbane. It has great acceptance within international communities. It has extensive facilities, including tennis courts, swimming pool, etc."
