About the Business
Welcome to Brasserie Cent Six, located in the beautiful coastal town of Mooloolaba, on Brisbane Road, 106. As an establishment, food, and point of interest, our restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience that will transport you to the enchanting world of traditional French cuisine.
At Brasserie Cent Six, we take pride in serving the irresistible French cooking of Chef Stephen Pulman. With over 40 years of experience, Chef Stephen has mastered the art of Belle Époque cuisine, bringing the true flavors of France to your plate. Our patrons often express their delight, saying, "I am French and I have not tasted the true flavors of France for over 40 years, until tonight! Merci!"
Join us as we invite you to go back in time and relish in the joyful world and charm of traditional French cooking, music, humor, and love. Chef Stephen Pulman is one of the last remaining chefs trained in the style of the original great masters, such as Marie-Antoine Carême and Auguste Escoffier. This stunning method of cooking rose to prominence in Paris during the Belle Époque in the 19th century and continued to captivate palates well into the mid-20th century.
Finding French food cooked to these standards is becoming increasingly rare, even in France. However, at Brasserie Cent Six, you can experience this exquisite cuisine right here on the Sunshine Coast. Chef Stephen's astonishing career has led him to cook for celebrities and royalty around the world, and you can see just a few of them on our wall.
Guests have exclaimed, "There is no other restaurant quite like this one!" and "Probably the best French cuisine in the southern hemisphere!" Chef Stephen's culinary talents have been recognized by connoisseurs who have dined in top French restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, stating that he surpasses them all.
We take pride in offering a dining experience that is unparalleled on the coast. From entrees to desserts, all three courses are prepared with equal precision and excellence. As one satisfied guest put it, "There is nowhere on the coast where you can get all three courses from entree to dessert at an equally high standard. Nowhere!"
In addition to our delectable cuisine, we also host special events that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of France. Join us for our upcoming Chat Noir, where we will tell the story of a renowned composer. And keep an eye out for details on our Classic Music Soirée, where you can indulge in the very best music for all classical music lovers.
We want to express our gratitude to all those who have supported us in our events, such as the Chabrier Soirée and the Offenbach Soirée. We also hosted an Alliance Française Regional Lunch, showcasing the culinary delights of Le Grand-Est: Alsace-Lorraine.
At Brasserie Cent Six, we strive to bring the essence of traditional French cooking to Australia. We believe that fine dining is an art form, and we invite you to join us on a culinary journey that will leave a lasting impression.

"My partner and I went here for a dinner date and we just loved everything. The food, the service, the atmosphere. The experience was just perfect. Lucy gave us the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. We loved every dish. The steak tartare is definitely our favourite. We can't help but notice how cozy we were and how charming everything was. We loved the ambience. We have been looking so long for a french restaurant that served authentic french food. They aced the food and everything else. Definitely the best experience from a restaurant so far. Don't miss this wonderful hiddem gem! Merci beaucoup Stephen et Lucy!"
"We had the pleasure of having a date night at Brasserie Cent Six and can only say wow. The ambience was warming, the service was outstanding, and the food was scrumptious. This little restaurant is a hidden gem on Brisbane Road in Mooloolaba. If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience you will be impressed. Highly recommend."
"The ruby-warm decor at Brasserie Cent Six added to the warm welcome from Chef Stephen and his wife, Lucy, at this intimate oasis of classic French cuisine. The walls are covered with photos from Chef Stephen's long and distinguished career and are a fascinating journey through time. But it is the food we will remember the most. The menu was small, just as it should be. Every dish was so tempting, it was almost impossible to choose. The flavours were exquisite, everything cooked to perfection, with each of the varied dishes looking delicious. The wine list was well-judged - interesting and not overpriced - and the service is super-friendly. Highly recommended - we will be back. Thank you Lucy & Stephen for a wonderful experience!"
"My husband and I found this wonderful little French restaurant back in 2015 and have been dining fortnightly ever since. The food is traditional French and is magnificent, never have we had a bad meal. Stephen is a wonderful chef and Lucy a wonderful hostess. We have always felt welcomed and every time we dine we have a wonderful experience and exceptional food. Sunnycoasters, do yourself a huge favour and dine at this restaurant. If I could give it a hundred star rating I would."
"We had a delightful Valentine's Day dinner at this hidden gem of a French restaurant in Mooloolaba last night. After the closure of our favourite French restaurant in Flaxton, we were looking for a new place to try and we found this gem with great reviews on Google. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Lucy. The restaurant is small and intimate, which creates a cozy atmosphere. We were impressed to learn that chef Stephen has served movie stars, politicians, and famous people from all over the world, and the walls were adorned with pictures of the notable people who had dined there. The food was exquisite and definitely worth the visit. We enjoyed every dish, and the flavors were incredible. The decor also added to the overall ambiance, and we felt transported to France for the evening. The service was outstanding, and we could tell that Lucy and Stephen have put a lot of heart into their work. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning for another meal soon. If you're looking for a fantastic French restaurant on the Sunshine Coast, this is the place to go!"
