Welcome to Pelican Waters Golden Beach Kindergarten & Childcare, located on Anning Avenue in Golden Beach, Australia. We are a proud establishment that serves as a point of interest and school for children between the ages of 15 months and 6 years.

At Pelican Waters, we believe that in order for children to truly flourish and become empowered individuals, they must first develop a love and appreciation for the earth. As David Sobel said, "If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it." This philosophy is at the core of our educational approach.

We are honored to be the first center on the Sunshine Coast to receive an Excellence rating, and we have received this prestigious recognition not once, but twice. Out of the 16,500 centers across Australia that are rated, less than 20 have achieved this level of excellence. This rating is a testament to the passionate educators and high standard of care and education that we provide at our center.

Families travel long distances to bring their children to our long day care center because they understand the importance of the early years in brain development and establishing a positive sense of self. They know that at Pelican Waters, our educators are warm, friendly, and truly understand early years curriculum of the highest quality.

Our center opens from 7am to 6pm daily, providing a warm, caring, and educational space for children to grow and learn. We pride ourselves on creating a family-friendly environment, where siblings can play together and form lasting connections.

One of the highlights of our center is our large outdoor space, which serves as a garden for children to explore and play in. We also maintain a ratio of educators to children that exceeds the legal requirements, ensuring that each child receives the highest quality interactions and support.

As an approved Queensland Government Kindergarten Program, we have two university trained teachers who are dedicated to providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for our students.

At Pelican Waters, we value the importance of creativity and imagination in a child's development. That's why we have an innovative creative arts program, which includes an artist in residence who spends 30 hours a week with the children. This artist supports them in learning various artistic techniques and helps them realize their own potential as artists.

We also take advantage of our beautiful surroundings by spending time with our artist on the foreshore of Pumistone Passage. Additionally, we have a builder's workshop and host an annual art exhibition to honor the incredible work of our children and educators. We even have a Mud Club, where a ceramic artist visits weekly to teach the creative value of clay.
