At Kedron Heights Community Kindergarten, we follow a play-based learning approach, allowing children to explore, discover, and engage in meaningful experiences. We believe that all children are unique, capable, and social beings, and we value and respect the diverse knowledge, experiences, culture, and language that each child brings to our kindergarten.
Our kindergarten operates as a single unit center, offering two groups per week. To attend in their kindergarten year, children must turn 4 by June 30. Our term and holiday breaks align with the Queensland state school calendar, ensuring a smooth transition for our students.
We are proud to have been assessed under the National Quality Standards (NQS) as part of The National Quality Framework (NQF) for Early Childhood Education and Care, and have been awarded the rating of "Exceeding National Quality Standard." This recognition reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education and care for your child.
One of our unique features is our special connection with the "Magic Forest" located just across the road from our kindergarten. This natural environment offers endless opportunities for children to connect with nature, engage in outdoor play, and learn about the importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship.

"An amazing kindy! Both of our kids absolutely loved their time there. We are so glad we chose Kedron Heights kindy!"
"Kedron Heights Community Kindy (KHCK) is just beautiful! Warm, lovely, long-term staff who really get to know and connect with your child. A play-based curriculum with a nature inspired outdoor play space that includes a playground, swings, sandpit, mud kitchen and space for running, jumping, painting, gardening and exploring! We could not be happier then we are here at KHCK and we will be sad to leave! If you're looking for quality education and connection in the year before your child starts primary school, I can highly recommend KHCK."
