Welcome to St Aidan's Kindergarten, located in the beautiful city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. At St Aidan's Kindergarten, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and we understand that early childhood is the foundation on which this exciting quest begins.

We recognize that parents are a child's first and most important teacher, and we value collaborative relationships between educators and families. Together, we engage in active learning, promoting an educational pedagogy that supports children to learn through play and conversation.

We understand that each young child develops at a different rate and with a unique set of dispositions. Therefore, we provide a learning environment that is responsive to their individual needs. We believe that what children can do is more important than what they cannot do, and we focus on value-adding through the key concepts of play and conversation.

Our aim at St Aidan's Kindergarten is to provide a high-quality educational program for both girls and boys. We create a nurturing, engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment for our students and their families.

Our philosophy is based on several key areas that make up our unique educational model. We ensure small class sizes, with a maximum of 22 students and two adults present at all times. We prioritize enrollment for children who turn four by June 30 in the year they attend Kindergarten, but we also offer places to children who turn three by the start of the school year, depending on availability.

While we are an approved registered child care facility and deliver a government-approved kindergarten program, we are not Child Care Benefit (CCB) approved. However, we provide detailed information about approved and registered care on our website.

Starting from July 2, 2018, Australia will have a New Child Care Package, and the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will replace the existing Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. For further information on this, please refer to the government website.

Located within the grounds of St Aidan's Junior School, our Kindergarten boasts colorful and spacious facilities with creative design features. We have specific kindergarten facilities, including natural play areas that encourage exploration and investigation while providing spaces for socialization. Our proximity to the Junior and Senior School facilities allows for cross-age interaction and valuable links with siblings.

Our staff in the kindergarten are highly qualified in the early childhood field. We have dedicated early childhood staff, including a four-year qualified early childhood teacher and a full-time assistant with a minimum qualification of Certificate III. We also have specialist teachers for Physical Education, Library, Every Day Music, and Every Day Languages.

At St Aidan's Kindergarten, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our children. We have policies and procedures in place to protect children and young people in Anglican education, as well as a comprehensive Child Youth & Risk Management Strategy.
