"1. Front desk girl was super rude. Talked to me like she was forced to do so. I also saw her incompetent service to an old couple before me so wasn’t expecting too much anyway. 2. Got a Monday special chicken and chips bowl which was mid at best. I was trying to find the flavours but they were non existent. Chips were slightly better. 3. It was supposed to be 9.90 and I was charged 10.00. Obviously not a big amount but at least the girl on till should tell me the correct amount..?"
"A new place for my family for lunch, we all loved it. My chicken karaage burger was so so good!!"
"Nice little Bird Nest restaurant in Toowong . Had the Katsu rice bowl but is good but partner wagyu bowl was ok only with little wagyu. Service was reasonable only and cashier looked stress and not friendly. Clean and well maintained. Generally recommended."
"Tried out the Liven app (newly launched in Brisbane) with a visit to Bird’s Nest on the Run, where I ordered: * chicken meatball hot dog, $9.50 - charcoal grilled meatball, wasabi mayo, cabbage, sweet soy glaze, on a soft Japanese roll * added $4 to make it a meal deal, ie plus small fries and a drink * jumbo fried chicken (for wifey), $5 - whole chicken thigh, crumbed with crispy rice crackers Loved the flavours of the hot dog. Only minor quibble was that it got pretty messy with the sauciness and the soft bun... but worth it! I liked the fact that the drink options are not just your usual Coke and friends varieties. I chose one of the other options with Japanese wording on it (something in white grape flavour), though a friend pointed out that it also had Malay wording on it and turns out it’s made in Malaysia! Oh and there’s complimentary miso soup which is pretty nice. Scored $10 off thanks to using a referral code when signing up for the app, plus also earned $10 in rewards thanks to the current Brisbane launch promo. If you don’t already have the app, get it and enter my referral code ‘UMQEEC’ to get your $10 credit. I’ll get $10 when you make your first purchase so thanks in advance!"
"Passed by this shop a few times and finally got the chance to give it a shot. On first look, the presentation of food is lovely and I liked how it came in a rice bento box. The meat is aromatic and juicy, but the rice is a tad overcooked. Portions however could be larger given the price point. Also, staffs appeared unhappy and probably because of the poor business. Thus, service is still important and should always give customers that feeling that they want to return. Hopefully, improvements can be made and would love to see this shop do better."
