"27.1.2023 Excellent Seafood Chef! His Lobster, Crab, Prawn, Abalone and Fish dishes are highly rated. Our Seafood meals here always rate 5/5. But the short-staffed kitchen always takes an unusually long time to prepare our dinner on every visit. Hence, a ⭐️ deduction, resulting in an overall rating of 4/5."
"Have heard some pretty mixed reviews but for my first visit I was pretty happy with the overall experience. I came with some foodie friends and we ordered mainly from the newspaper specials (they literally give you a copy of their newspaper ad with the specials!): * Special combo set A with fresh live lobster (free e-fu noodles), live perch, and poached free range chicken, $125 * A grade fresh live mud crab ($34/500g, got 1.5kg) with vermicelli noodle served in hot pot (+$20) * Lamb in clay pot, $63.80 - with free beef slices and seasonal vegetables * Kangkung dish (didn't get exact name) * Rice * complimentary soup of the day Total came out to be about $50.50 per head and nobody left hungry. I quite enjoyed all the seafood dishes, with the standout probably the crab cos the flavours in that were full on and not a style I've previously had - would definitely recommend. The chicken flavour was alright but I found it overall quite bony. Don't think I'd get this again unless it happened to come in a set. Probably wouldn't get the lamb clay pot again either - nice to try and quite a big serve, but will stick to/focus on seafood items next time. Notes: * unless seafood items are specified as fresh and/or live, then they're frozen * a number of items were not available, eg we were going to order the family combo but the whole combo was off the table cos it included frozen crab, which they'd run out of * recommend bookings, and checking availability beforehand if you there's a specific item you want to order * the restaurant has two mostly separate rooms - if you enter by the front door (where the counter/bar is) and don't see any diners, it's probably cos they're all in the next room and those doors might've been shut when you walked past!"
"Nice seafood restaurant. Came for CNY dinner with friends. Had tasty gigantic lobster in 3 courses and other seafood as well. Service require improvement but understand it was a very busy night. Good yum Cha as well. Cashier side where all the live fish were stored were wet. Reasonably priced seafood. Require some improvement but still highly recommended."
"We were quite happy with the live seafood we ordered within the $208 course menu. Mostly had excellent taste except few dishes were over seasoning."
