"Being a country music fan helps, but it was cold outdoors on a freezing night. I saw lots of beanies, but at least we were under cover out of the rain. These are a friendly group of amateur artists, supported by a dedicated backing band of superior talent. The monthly social (as it is called) was a very lively affair with many helpers in different roles. Plenty of food, drinks, and coffee to keep you going. The audience here was not as old as others (after all it's "modern" country music), and we had a rocking night. A polished guest artist filled out the program, only to be topped by the best supper I've ever seen. I was encouraged to join, which I did, so now I can have a go on stage too. I can also go along to the weekly practice nights, which are indoors and are a more intimate gathering of muzos"
