"This guy is rude, dishonest and has taken advantage of my partner when bringing in his car for a road worthy certificate. We checked most things on the car before taking it in like all the lights and wiper blades. Next day all of a sudden he tells us a headglobe is out so all need replacing and some professional wiper blades are needed. He also advised my partner in order for it to pass the rwc, he will need to remove the spotlights off the bull bar then place them back on again at a charge. We checked vic roads website and clearly shows that this is absolutely fine. Not to mention the thousands of cars already with spotlights on bullbars. When i called to discuss this he did not want to listen nor explain himself and dismissed me saying he doesn’t need to explain anything to me as he does not know me. Ive now lodged this with consumer affairs. He is taking advantage of someone with English as there second language and knows he is here to go backpacking. After two weeks has passed, he calls us to come to shop as he didnt want to discuss on the phone. We get to the shop to be advised his car hoist is not working (a lie) and thats why no work has been done to the car. I demanded a refund of $2262 that we paid upfront as he said he wont work on it unless we pay. He refused and also refused to give us the keys so we could take the car elsewhere. I then had to get the Police involved to get our car back so we can take it elsewhere. Im now dealing with VCAT to chase up the refund. Not to mention the money we list for making another appointment with vic roads to get the car registered. This lack of service, dishonesty is absolutely disgusting. AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

"I came in this afternoon at 4.30pm just by chance trying my luck as my car lights had all of a sudden stopped working. "Poor communication, never open for the trading hours shown. Tried to drop car off 3 times on the day of roadworthy with no one to be found. No phone call recieved on the day. Asked for service with roadworthy and was not completed and acted like i made it up when i picked up the car. Gives deadlines he can't keep."

"Booked my car in here, showed up to drop it off and the shop was closed, after waiting and calling with no answer, I went home. Hours later got a call apologising and re-booked me. I showed up to the next booking to drop my car off and the shop was closed again, waited and no answer to phone calls. Completely unprofessional and waste of my time."

"I took my car here for a mini service as my ex-mechanic friend had done a minor service but couldn’t do everything. David wrote out a quote which I questioned as some of the things on there I knew my friend had already done. So I asked if I could have the quote or take a photo to show my friend and he said NO. My gut was already telling me this was a rip off especially when he said my car needs a new timing belt at 60,000kms and needed new brake pads. I said thanks but no thanks. I took it for a second quote somewhere else and was informed that my car doesn’t even need a timing belt until 150,000 and would cost $580 not $1,640 as quoted by David and no brake pads required. Due to my friend doing most things this mechanic only charged me $90 instead of over $2000 David quoted me. I would recommend everyone gets a second opinion as this was absolutely outrageous im glad my intuition is always on point"
