"My family had an amazing two nights on Ken & Julies' houseboat. Ken was a great host. Very knowledgeable of the Pumicestone Passage & made us feel safe & very welcome. Ken set the anchor in a beautiful fishing spot overlooking the Glass House Mountains & out of the wind. After our safety briefing he left us to enjoy our time away. We had a relaxing time fishing, birdwatching & taking lots of photos of the scenery & sunsets. The houseboat was very clean & comfortable & is well equipped with all the basics you will need for your stay. Our two nights went by very quickly & Ken came out & navigated the houseboat back to Pelican Waters. We would definitely stay again & highly recommend to families or anyone who wants to experience something a little bit different. It's a floating house - it's so cool!!! "We had the pleasure of doing the inaugural hire of the houseboat. We were met by Ken on arrival who then helped us with our gear for boarding. We had a thorough tour of the boat, motors, equipment etc before our safety talk and instructions. Ken took us from the initial moorings to the passage and down to where we had decided to anchor for the first night. At this time, all navigators were tested on ability, and knowledge of rules. Passing this test, Ken left us to enjoy the weekend. We were updated on weather daily, which was great for knowing where to anchor through the day and overnight. We fished successfully, had great fun exploring on our kayak trips, swimming and enjoying some beautiful sunsets and sunrises. A fantastic way to relax. Sadly time passed and Ken again met us and boarded to navigate the canal and bridges for our return docking. We were met by Julie and their daughter and all assisted us to disembark and pack our vehicles before the cleaning. Once we had completed disembarking, Julie (thankfully) did a final check and found some remaining gear we missed. All in all, we agreed that this was a fantastic way to celebrate a birthday, the hospitality of Ken & Julie was top shelf. We have passed on our experience, and will most definitely be returning when the opportunity is available. Good luck with your venture guys, I can only see you succeeding as you deserve to.
