"Called Golf City International on 24/06/20 after calling many other businesses with no luck getting a booking despite the emergency I had! Was delighted to hear I could get my 2009 R36 Passat Towed to the shop on the day I called after being told by many I had to wait weeks! After getting the car towed to the shop I was greeted by Con, he told me leave everything up to him after I explained what was happening with the car. After two days I received a call from Con telling me that he had replaced the parts and that it would only cost me a a lot less Than what I imagined I was going to be charged! I was over the moon with happiness. On the same day I collected the car Con walked me in and showed me the parts that were replaced and reassured me that everything he had said he’d done was carried out. I highly recommend this business to anyone who has any type of Volkswagen Golf or derivative! 5 stars!"

"We had a failed piston on our Golf Wagon TSi. Its a manufacturer fault with the turbo. We needed all new pistons, timing belt and all the things associated. It cost a bit of money but the service was good and communication through whole process including photos to my phone helped see the actual damage and the appreciate the size of the job."

"Visited Golf City seeking a engine rebuild / replacement for my partners TSI 2009 Golf. We decided to go with a replacement based on conversations held with the owner Con, with a newer version of the motor which had internal upgrades. We also decided to service the car at the same time to ensure the car was in good running order to avoid any further problems. This came to a cost of $6k. The following day the transmission/clutch failed. (DSG) After discussions with the owner, they advised the car 'Drove perfect' with no issues. (I thought there was some some of issue with the gear box prior however they advised it was the engine) I tried to come to come sort of compromise with the owner and selling the car/motor back to Golf City at a discounted price however Golf City provided no options after taking $6k the day before. (my partner simply had enough, both being extremely time poor) I was really disappointed with how it was handled and not picking up that there where further issues, all we had was an additional bill. ($2k or so to fix on top of the $6k the day before which we did not proceed with) I would like to add that Con the owner from Golf City initially was very helpful and fitted us in very quickly for the engine replacement, which only took two days however I think it should have had a once over, and ensure everything was in order prior to spending the time and money fitting a new engine and servicing. I would of thought we would of come to some sort of compromise given their in the 2nd hand engine/golf market - this is why I'm leaving this review for future golf owners. Good luck."

"I had a worn wiper motor I tried but failed to fix it so got a second hand one from here. When I hooked it up myself it didn't work so I knew it was either the new motor or a fuse. I took it back still fitted, Con said leave it with me. Rang me back in two hours and said it was the fuse. I picked it up and he charged me an extra $110 over what I had paid for the part. A fuse is $2 and its a 30 second job to change- what a CON job! Don't get CONNED."

"These guys know there stuff. Very good customer service. They take good care of you. I had a whole heap of things done. Tyres, rotors breaks control arm bushes, door lock replaced, etc. Have pretty much any part you will ever need for your Golf from Mk1 to the latest model. Had the car repaired for a roadworthy which I had inspected at a different place as they are closer to my work. On the roadworthy they found an issue with the L/H ball joint which I had to fix at the time at excess cost to me. I do not believe it was Golf City that caused the issue but the other guys who did the wheel alignment. However Golf City wore the excess repair costs due to the other guys stuff up and reimbursed me. Very professional and did not mess me around. Mistakes happen and they wore it even though it wasn't them. True customer service!! I will deffinitly go back and use them again. They are a true testament to true tradesmen."
