"The quality of your products have dropped considerably over the years, the Dayco experience in general these days is woeful......."
"Got a replacement part & it was faulty. Replaced it with genuine Nissan part & fixed the issue."
"Avoid using these timing belt kits. Had a kit fitted to a trition that the tensioner failed on part way through the timing interval. Luckily no engine damage. Dayco didnt want to know about warranty. My parts store were left in between a rock and a hard place in regards to this part that should be under warranty. Other manufactors guarantee/warrant kits based on interval. Expected much better treatment been the amount of kits purchased/been a trade customer. Will never again purchase another of these kits. Are other/better alternatives on the market than using anything this company provides. Disappointed that these people dont give a stuff about trade, let alone their large parts resellers who stock their stuff. Hope a reality check gets delivered in due course...."
"Customer phone service should be renamed "NO customer service" tried twice to get through, leaving name and number as requested, no call back no follow up, simply NO SERVICE at all. Not very encouraging to purchase any of their products."
"Avoid Dayco timing belts kits. My workshop recently used a kit on a Colorado. The auto tensioner failed causing major damage to the cylinder head, this happened within 2000kms of being fitted. The part at fault was the tensioner spring stopper, the aluminum wall thickness is thin and broke, causing the belt to come loose enough to skip teeth, allowing the pistons to hit the valves. The claim was legitimate, two other mechanics witnessed me undo the retaining bolt from the tensioner. The warranty department are blaming the failure on a loose retaining bolt. There are clearly no witness marks on the back of the tensioner, or in the locating groove to hold it in place. This is an obvious place to look to prove whether the bolt came loose or not. Please see the picture provided showing the back of the failed tensioner and the new one. No marks at all proving it didnt rattle on the retaining fork, or come loose in any way. We have never made a claim before either, and were not given the chance to argue our case. This workshop will never use a Dayco timing belt kit again."
