"What a pretty little place! We went on a Saturday 11am. Friendly staff and plenty of different spots to sit, outside inside and in the little sun filled back garden. The menu is really nice! Lots of different things to choose from! I ordered the french tiramisu toast and I don’t think i’ll ever go back to normal toast ever again! Thanks guys! Will be back!"
"A friend recommended there and I finally made my visit. Steak sandwich was tasty and filling, and soy latte was a minor difference from what I had usually, which was interesting. Can’t wait to try out other foods on the menu."
"Came here for lunch. Super cute place set off the beaten track. Nice outdoor areas. I got the steak sandwich and a coffee both of which were delicious. Only reason for four stars was that staff were not the friendliest. Not necessarily rude, just disinterested. Overall still a great place"
"A minor place is a cute little almost-hidden-away treasure on Albion street closer to the McDonald’s end than the Sydney road end. It’s a weather board house with no huge signage so it can be easy to miss (despite the throngs of people that head here.) The cafe seats about 30-40 people inside and about the same outside. There are heaters and under cover seating round the side while there is smaller table seating in front as well as perhaps about 5 outside bar seats. Ordering inside can get a little cramped as they’ve definitely used all their floor space to seat people. The food at A Minor Place is amazing. Well made, delicious, balanced dishes and extremely well presented. The coffee is equally as amazing. The blend is strong yet not over powering with smooth tastes. And almost always the coffee seems well prepared regardless of who makes it. My only complaint is sometimes the wait staff seem.... disinterested? Not rude per se but certainly not chirpy/happy/easy to deal with. They almost appear condescending. However, they’re polite and “nice”. If you could get some smiles out of all the wait staff instead of just one or two A Minor Place is easily a five star establishment."
