About the Business
Welcome to Sunnybank Theatre Group Inc., located at 14 Mains Road in Sunnybank, Australia. Our establishment is more than just a point of interest; it is a hub of creativity, community, and cultural connections.
At Sunnybank Theatre Group Inc., we believe that age is just a number, and our productions reflect this belief. One of our upcoming shows, "The Trip To Bountiful," tells the heartwarming story of Carrie Watts, a spirited elderly woman who longs to revisit her hometown to rejuvenate her spirits. Despite her daughter-in-law and son's objections, Carrie embarks on a journey filled with secrets, memories, and unexpected connections.
"The Trip To Bountiful" is a joyous tale that explores the power of memory, the importance of family, the endurance of love, and the longing for home. This uplifting story will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
In addition to our captivating productions, we are committed to acknowledging and honoring the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather and perform. We recognize that Sunnybank is located on the traditional country and homelands of the Yuggera and Turrbal Peoples of Brisbane. For thousands of years, they have walked, cared for, sung, told stories, and danced on this land. We deeply respect their spiritual relationship, cultural heritage, beliefs, and profound connection to this land, which remains significant to their descendants today.
We also pay tribute to the Elders, both present and those who have returned to the great dreaming. Their wisdom and guidance continue to shape our understanding and appreciation of the land we perform on.
Come and join us at Sunnybank Theatre Group Inc. for an enriching experience that celebrates the arts, fosters community, and pays homage to the land and its people. We are located at 14 Mains Road, Sunnybank, QLD 4109, and we look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant and inclusive institution.

"Great little space, lovely foyer and bar area, easy to find and decent parking."
"Really enjoyed the show, though I thought the 2nd half was funnier"
"Went with a friend to see another friend in the current production of "A Vicar of Dibley Christmas." The carpark is just dirt, but there are quite a few spaces for parking. Also, the side street had quite a few spaces as well. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance and a lift to go up to the theatre as well as the stairs. The bar is open before a performance and again at intermission. It is also open after the performance so that you can meet and greet the performers."
"Consistently high standard performances... excellent bar area...parking at the door... lovely, welcoming staff...always an enjoyable experience..."
