"Horrible real estate to rent through. My husband and I rented for a short time between selling our house and awaiting our new house build to finish and unfortunately had D R Property manage the rental for six months. When we vacated the property they attempted to claim our bond for illegitimate reasons and without any discussion. They then ignored me for weeks until I had to follow through RTA dispute resolution processes to successfully get over $1000 of our own money back. I imagine they blatantly claim the bond of many tenants and if you experience this I encourage you to also follow through with the dispute process and then report their fraudulent behaviour to the office of fair trading. Thankfully we don’t rely on a rental record and understand our rights, but I feel for any tenants or vulnerable members of the community that aren’t in the same position. If you are an owner and respect the every day human beings occupying your property, look somewhere else."
