"We had a really disappointing brunch here. There are lots of issues with this place, in our opinion. First impressions matter and ours wasn’t good. The place looks a bit down at heel and the menus presented to us were all creased and dog eared. It wasn’t easy to order and several staff ignored us despite our waves to them. Credit to the lady with the elaborate piercings. She tried very hard to be upbeat and efficient. She seemed to be working three times harder than the other staff who didn’t seem that interested in what they were doing. The all important food was sadly quite average. We both had the Mr Jackson dish which is sort of a big breakfast but not. Nothing on the dish was really right. The eggs were hard, the mushrooms were excessively salty, the potato rosti was hard and overcooked. It just doesn’t work, or not cooked as it was presented to us. There were a host of other issues with the place but I can’t really be bothered detailing them all. This cafe is under par currently. IMO it needs serious attention in every area"

"New to the area and went venturing out today. Came across this cafe, the initial greeting was very welcoming and we were seated quickly by the warm outdoor heater. The menu was generous and with something for all. The waitress was prompt to take our orders and the overall experience was pleasant. Thank you to to chefs and staff from start to finish."

"This cafe is on the busy strip of mainstreet. The friendly waitress was super helpful fitting eight of us into the outside seating on a Sunday afternoon, without issue. Drinks arrived fast, and the strong coffee was gooooood!! The mains arrived in a reasonably good time and all appeared excelllent. Avocado was fresh, not brown, chips piping hot, poached eggs prepared perfectly not watery the fried eggs not greasy, the steak sandwich and kids pancakes looked great. As for my Chicken burger, hidden at the bottom right of the menu,? A proper two hander, with crisp back bacon, just enough sauce, a light toasted brioche and just the right amount of chips. Our first visit, and will be going back again."

"I've Actually have to come back two days in a row and almost every weekday too! food was too good and will come back again to try another menu. I loved it. It used to be my number #1 to go to. But i think chef is changed and food a bit different, but im still here to support this cafe."

"Went with the family last week, service was great, all meals were delicious, only negative comment, coffee was luke-warm. I’m sure if asked they would of made another but we were happy with everything else. Would recommend if you’re in the Mornington area!"
