"You do not want to stay here, period. The staff are rude and utterly useless. The service given upon arrival was more probable to a criminal being judged by a jury of their peers. (**Please note: I advised online and in person. I was here for hospital appointments in regard to my end stage cancer.) Between the price changes and lack of understanding. The biggest failure was being informed of the $150 deposit fee. (Allegedly, it was listed on the agoda sites. However, it should also be noted. I fact-check these issues constantly. I live 2 hours from the city. Travel and accommodation must fall between a budget. I was not the one who was wrong in this instance.) The issue was not even humoured. I was told I was wrong, eyes were rolled, etc **The particular mature age female staff member surrounding this issue on front counter. Clearly, she has no understanding or tolerance for the industry. She literally walked out midservice. In front of whom I assume was her supervisor. Completely ignored him. To deal with a trades-person who was there to do work.** After being "processed," finally.... I found to be staying in the sister hotel down the street. Not the end of the world... However, the constant reiteration of "Parties and loud noise and smoking not being tolerated in rooms"... Agian for context...*end stage cancer patient*.... with visible disability.. (Stoma)..*3rd time of mentioning this to her* After being ushered to the street and told to "Find it down there"... I parked in the parking spot provided and went up to the room. Upon reaching my room and entering... Firstly, the door lock had been completely snapped and poorly fixed. (Think floppy handle, this caused issues locking the door properly.) Then...the smell. My God... Wet dog and dirty water... It was clear the apartment was rush cleaned, especially the floors... the amount of mould and pubic hair left in the bathroom was evidence enough.. Upon leaving to find the nearest Coles/IGA.. I was stopped by the cleaner of said apartment. Whom boastfully admitted to cleaning it and asked how it was... Honestly... I didn't have the heart to tell him. I was stressed and tired already .. Having to go and get cleaning supplies to reclean the room was not on my agenda... After cleaning the room agian. I was at least satisfied enough to let it go... However, then... After leaving, stripping my linen and cleaning down out of respect for housekeeping. I left, dropped my keys in the box. Then, I wondered how long until my deposit would be returned. I was advised 6-8 business days, depending on my bank. 20 days later.... I will never return and would not ever. Recommend this accommodation to anyone. **I don't need an apology from the business. It wouldn't be worth the time it takes to read..*** Update: 20/4/23. Condescending response with no actual proof or understanding, of issues I raised. I cannot say I am suprised. Thank you for affirming what I already knew. If the establishment is rated so highly... Why is it rated so poorly? Agian. Do not stay here. Any Oaks hotel is cheaper and asks for $1 bond. And treats their customers with far more respect."

"Reception stated no parking available, many free parks when I looked each day but instead I had to park 10 mins down the road. Dust all over ceiling above dryer. Was told bond would be returned in 3-8 days but still have not received it."

"Condescending an arrogant customer service . I will never stay here again. Watch out if you request anything out of the norm, especially if you have any type of allergy. I have never had such a indifferent response to a request from an accommodation provider . My request was stonewalled with a stock standard response(see below). To add insult to injury, I had specifically requested car parking a spot. There was no apology and the curt response was “you simply have to find parking on the road”. Whilst we will make every effort to honor your request this cannot be guaranteed and many of our cleaning products have fragrances in them and we must clean the room. We do not have earth choice or vinegar products. We use commercial cleaning products which may affect your allergies. All bedrooms have carpet. Living areas are tiled. If you need to cancel to find a more suitable property I completely understand and will be happy to waive any cancellation fees. Best Regards Pavilion & Governor"
