"OK let's face it the Manchester Unity Building is a Melbourne treasure and Cafe 1932 is a great compliment. Beautifully styled with bentwood chairs, vintage light fittings and old advertising posters. Such a great place to sit and have coffee or bite to eat. Husband had 3 egg omelette with sourdough and flat white while I had avocado smash on rye and soy latte. Both food and coffee delicious and good serving size (we ate at 11am and didn't feel like anything else until 5ish). Unfortunately the serving plates they use detract from the decor vibes. Worth going and would go back. 20.8.23 so came back! Here for 1.5 hour tour of Manchester Unity Building which began with coffee and cake at 1932. So had coffees (flat white and soy latte) while husband had carrot cake and I had chocolate cake which actually was too rich for me and I couldn't finish it! Recommend doing tour."
"Not bad. Food and coffee was okay. The smoky bean and veggie ragu, could have used more veggies in it. I think it mostly had eggplant and tomatoes, it's what I could identify anyway. There are definitely better places to have brekky but these guys open earlier than a lot of breakfast places in Melbourne, so if you need a feed, this is a good place. Coffee was good too. You order at the counter here and they bring the food to you."
"Arrived early, for me, for breakfast. Baked eggs with a smoky bean and vege ragu, marinated feta, 2 free range eggs with choice of toast. $22 Delightful, slightly spicy. Eggs still runny. The veges I could recognise are the beans, capsicum, zucchini, onions and tomato base. The buttered toast came in handy for dunking into the sauce. Yum. Recommend. Genovese flat white coffee was delicious."
"[3.5] Located in the historical Manchester Unity Building that was built in 1932, this cute vintage place serves a good breakfast and coffee. I ordered the Smashed Avocado & Sweet Corn Bruschetta w. Shaved Cucumber, Radishes, Haloumi, Poached Egg & Rocket on Multi-Grain Toast ($18.50). I enjoyed it very much and found it zesty enough. Their flat white was nice & fresh. Quick service and friendly staff."
"Read the reviews and decided to try this place. Good food and relatively good price. I came for the Lamb Ragu Pasta as advertised on their online menu but when I arrived it wasn't on there and was replaced by a Lamb Salad, which I got anyway. It was busy, and a little cold to sit outside but much fresher than inside. They have heaters and even blankets haha!"
