Our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program is a free service available to all families residing in Nillumbik. Our team of dedicated MCH nurses is here to assist families with young children from birth to school age. We offer support and guidance in various areas including health and safety, parenting, and the growth and development of your child. Additionally, we provide referrals and connections to local support services to ensure comprehensive care.

Our primary goal is to make it effortless for parents and caregivers to access the services, support, and information necessary to keep their families healthy, happy, and safe. Our MCH nurses are available to provide information about programs and services, help you locate your nearest MCH centre, and schedule your first key age and stage visit.

Throughout your child's early years, we offer ten key ages and stages visits, from birth to three and a half years. These visits are crucial in monitoring your child's development and ensuring their well-being. Our maternal and child health nurses are highly qualified, with backgrounds in general nursing, midwifery, and maternal and child health. They continuously update their knowledge and skills to provide the best care possible.

To practice in Victoria, our MCH nurses are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority. Additionally, we are proud to offer the MCH app, a reliable resource that provides valuable information for Victorian families. The app is available in multiple languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Dari, Khmer, Persian, Punjabi, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

As part of our commitment to the community's well-being, we partner with the Banyule Council Immunisation Service to deliver immunizations. Most immunizations are offered for free as part of the National Immunization Program Schedule, ensuring that you and your family stay protected throughout your lives.
