At Kallista Chinese Medicine, our experienced practitioners, Kali and Ayla, utilize acupuncture, acu-pressure massage, cupping, and herbal medicine to treat symptoms and address the underlying causes of various health conditions. Kali, a body-oriented trauma therapist, specializes in resolving anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and illness by incorporating techniques such as Somatic Experiencing® and TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises).

TCM has proven to be particularly effective in treating women's issues, including menstrual irregularities, menopause, fertility, and pregnancy. Our practitioners have a deep understanding of the patterns of disharmony within the body, allowing them to provide targeted treatments and correct imbalances.

In addition to TCM, we offer Cranio Sacral therapy (CST), a gentle hands-on healing technique that mobilizes and releases tension and trauma in the cranio-sacral system. This therapy focuses on the head, spine, pelvis, and sacrum, promoting relaxation and overall well-being.

Kali Foster, a pioneer in Somatic trauma therapy, combines Japanese palpation-style acupuncture with Kathy Kain's touch work to provide bodywork treatments that regulate the nervous system. Through safety and co-regulation, Kali helps clients achieve parasympathetic states, which enhance the effectiveness of acupuncture and often lead to rapid and profound results. Kali also offers Somatic Experiencing® trauma sessions, boundary work, and access to healthy anger and self-compassion.

For those interested in self-empowerment and stress relief, we offer Trauma Release Exercises (TRE). This simple technique can be learned and practiced at home to release deep chronic tension caused by traumatic or stressful events. Kali teaches TRE to individuals from the clinic and also provides 1:1 trauma therapy using Somatic Experiencing® techniques to alleviate pain, stress, and anxiety by calming and regulating the nervous system.
