"I have had 7 laser hair removal treatments of my underarms at Laser Clinics in Knox and I have not had issues previously but today was absolutely terrible. I realised when I got there that I had some hair growth and apologised and asked if I could shave there (I have never forgotten to shave before by the way). The girl told me I would be able to purchase a raser for about $2-4, but told me she would go speak to her manage to confirm and come back. She returned and told me it would cost me $49 which I could not understand and so I requested to speak to her manager to work out why it was so expensive. I approached the manager of the store and she was cold from the start. I asked why it was $49 and she said "it costs us $60 for a packet of 20 rasers and we have to open the entire packet and then throw out the raser that we use on you". So then I asked what they do with the remaining 19 rasers in the packet, but she did not answer me. When I continued to query this ridiculous price and very illogical explanation of hers (she was rude from the beginning), she jumps up from her chair and tells me that she has just come off stress leave and that she is about to have a panic attack because of me. I could not believe that the manager of a store was reacting like this. I told her that if she is not able to handle a conversation (which was not heated until she started yelling hysterically at me) with customers then she shouldn't be the manager of this store. She then rudely yelled at me and told me to get out and she kept yelling at me to get out and projecting her emotional state onto me, which i thought was very unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting. There was another customer in the store who witnessed this and so it was actually also embarrassing to be subjected to this in front of someone else. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. The girl who served me was trying to manage the situation, but she told me that she would call me and I am yet to receive a call from her. Needless to say, I have booked in with another laser company and will not be coming back to this store. They need to hire another manager and perhaps this current manager should find a job where she does not have to face people. She is clearly unable to handle her emotions and projects them onto customers. Her job is to de-escalate, not further escalate. Furthermore, a customer should never be held responsible for someone else's emotional volatility or their own responses to situations. We are all responsible for how we respond to situations. I will be taking this further. ————————————————————- MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER’S REPLY: I find Jason's comments misleading & dishonest, given that not only were his staff in the wrong in relation to the procedures they follow but also that the manager was not fit to be at work, as admitted by Jason himself over the phone. He conveniently left this out of his reply. Just be honest & stop trying to deflect! Firstly, I mentioned to Jason that this is the first time I have come to a session unshaven & I have had 7 sessions before this. Secondly, the young staff member offered the shaver to me for $2-$4. And as I told Jason, I was apologetic. I honestly did not expect to have hair growth after 7 sessions but I realised that wasn’t the case. Thirdly, I have since found out that this store does not follow the head office guidelines - they are not supposed to shave customer’s underarm area before treatment due to the underarm area being sensitive. I have been told by two laser clinics Australia stores that underarm shaving should NOT be offered by staff. So, Jason has failed to mention the fact that his staff were in fact BREACHING protocol. It also suggests that the manager decided to make up her own rules, which is disgraceful. Finally, Jason conveniently failed to mention that the manager told me to get out rudely and then she went into the back room but REAPPEARED from the back room a few seconds later to re-engage with me. So to say she wasn’t offered the freedom to walk away is an outright lie."

"Came here for cool sculpting on my chin as I have stubborn fat that is unable to leave even when I lose or gain weight. I had approached a lot of other clinics that weren’t The Laser Clinic and was treated fairly badly (ie. staff not knowing what they are selling and rudely explaining what the product is as though I was stupid and being extremely judgemental). When I came to The Laser Clinic at Knox, I met with Emily for my consultation. She is such a sweetheart. She knew exactly what she was talking about, she made me feel extremely comfortable and talked me through exactly what the pain amount would be and exactly what I needed to do after going through the cool sculpt. A week later I returned again (only for Emily) to do my upper arms. Thanks Emily for making me feel extremely comfortable to return back again! Whatever my needs are, I will definitely return as happy as ever as the treatment I receive from staff members are top notch!"

"My 3 treatments of Laser for pigmention didnt work. Spoke to the owner about it but nothing was offere .Purchased many trearments for glyco peel my skin didn't like that so I didn't use the other two treatments. Also purchased skin needling, did one treatment which was ok the second treatment I asked if they could use a larger needle but was told they only use the one size. My experiece with skin needling with other beauticians is as you progress through mutiple treatments different size needles are use. Not at the laser clinics each treatment the same needles are used. When I made my last appointment for needling I was told it was expired I said I didnt realise these treatments expired, so I advise every one read the T&Cs carefully because I wasn't told about expirey. They said they would honour the treatment so I made an appointment for a week later. On my way to the appointment 34 minutes before I got a call to say it wouldn't be honoured and that they wont do the treatment unless I paid. I was furious. As I went there because one of the beauticians I meet at another clinic worked there. That beautician was the third person I saw in a 12 month or so period that has now left the business. Two other girlfriends have expressed to me that they dont go there anymore as they where also not happy with the service that was provided. I say buyer beware of there advertisements and half price services. Go to a small business to get better. I will never go there again. And will never purchase another product from them. I have read some reviews and most people talk about Nina, who was the reason I went there and purchased treatments. Nina is no longer there people so if anyone knows where she is contact me on FB. I must admit I was pretty rude to Joanne the manager over the phone and I apologise I was extremley angry as your told one thing that they will honour your service and the managment decline at the last minute. If I had of been called the day before I probably have been more excepting. I had to drive 35 minutes to go to Knox expecially. Lucky as I would have been disappointed anyway be ause my girl had left. Deb Debono"
