Welcome to Mill Park Lakes Maternal & Child Health Centre, located at 280b Gordons Road in South Morang, Australia. As an establishment focused on health and well-being, we are a point of interest for families in the City of Whittlesea.

Our Maternal and Child Health Service (MCH) is dedicated to providing free and confidential care for families with children from newborn to school age. Our staff consists of Registered Nurses with additional qualifications in Midwifery and Maternal and Child Health, ensuring that you receive the highest level of expertise and support.

We strive to improve the health, well-being, and safety of families, as well as the learning and development of children. However, it is important to note that MCH services across Victoria are currently facing a shortage of qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses, which may impact the full range of consultations we can offer.

Despite these challenges, we are still able to provide MCH services for infants from birth up to 12 months of age, as well as for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander infants, children, and families, and those with additional needs. We also offer other supports during this time, such as our Drop-In service and the MCH Line 132 229.

Our dedicated Maternal and Child Health team is here for you and ready to assist. To make a key ages and stages appointment or to change an existing one, please request an MCH Appointment. If you have an appointment within the next two working days, please call our team directly at 9404 8888 between 9am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

We understand that breastfeeding and feeding your baby can sometimes be challenging. That's why we offer the opportunity to chat with a Maternal and Child Health Nurse or Lactation Consultant who can provide guidance and support.

In addition to our consultations, we also offer First Time Parent Groups and Sleep and Settling programs facilitated by professionals to assist parents in navigating the early stages of parenthood. Our Enhanced Maternal and Child Health (EMCH) Service is an outreach program that provides additional support to families with children from birth to preschool age who may be facing challenges impacting parenting, relationships, and well-being.

We are proud to have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement program, including the Deadly Boorais and Deadly Families Program. This program actively engages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and supports their involvement in our Maternal and Child Health service. The Yarning Circle and Drop-In Session are part of this program, providing further opportunities for these families to connect and engage with our services within the City of Whittlesea.
