Absolutely abhorrent despicable customer service; staff are just downright rude and nasty. Took forever to move my super across as they were probably playing games with it. Avoid like the plague!"
"After several years with asteron I contacted them when my husband received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis to find out what would happen when and if he was declared terminal. I was told that my policy was “death only”. I didn’t think it was right but took their word for it. Things are not going well now after a few years of treatment so I was checking our papers were organised. I found the original letter stating that I have terminal illness and death cover for him. Rang them and they said they have no record of my specific previous call but have all other calls recorded. How convenient for them. Don’t trust them like I naively did."
"Looking at my bank account today and noted my life insurance direct debit had doubled. When I called Asteron I was advised the premium had gone up and they had sent me a letter. As I had recently moved I did not receive this. They did not email me this information to me. They would not provide a refund after paying a policy with them for nearly 30 years. I looked up other companies and this rise is double that of other insurance companies. No loyalty and a rip off company. Steer clear."
"If I could give negative stars for their response to numerous calls and emails left, I would. As one reviewer here said, gave up after waiting more than half an hour in the past 2 days for someone to pick up my calls. Sent emails and still no response. If this is the type of response one gets just requesting for statements, what happens if I have to make an urgent claim? Will be cancelling my insurances with them."
