Welcome to Stem Family Health, located in the beautiful coastal town of Torquay, VIC. At Stem Family Health, our mission is to create a supportive and nurturing environment for both children and families, fostering optimal growth and development.

We believe that a sense of playfulness is essential for overall well-being. When stress overwhelms us, it becomes difficult to find joy in play. Conversely, when we engage in genuine play, stress dissipates. Our goal is to provide the conditions necessary for the integration of experiences and the healthy development of minds.

Through our Play Therapy and Interplay Family Therapy services, we offer support to children and families facing various challenges, including trauma, complex relationships, grief and loss, illness, hospitalization, birth trauma, and more. Our child-centered Play Therapy approach is tailored to meet the needs of children of all ages, providing a safe space for healing and growth.

For children who experience difficulties with communication, social development, anxiety, and depression due to ASD, we offer the 'Brains and Bricks' program, which utilizes LEGO® Based Therapy as a means of developing social skills.

Our Interplay Therapy approach incorporates arts, movement, and storytelling to promote psychological well-being. Our Interplay Clinical Supervisors provide guidance and support to clinicians using this approach, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.

Additionally, Stem Family Health offers Neurosequential Model for Education (NME) services to local schools, focusing on promoting healthy brain development in children based on the latest neurobiology research. We believe that early interventions, such as Play Therapy, have a significant positive impact on children's healthy development.

We are proud to be a part of the village that raises the child, working alongside families to rebuild attachment relationships, aid in trauma recovery, and create a future where safety and a sense of belonging are possible.
