About the Business
Welcome to Caulfield Junior College, a prestigious establishment located in the heart of Caulfield North, Australia. Situated at Balaclava Road, 186, our institution is not just a school, but a point of interest and a place where young minds are nurtured and guided towards becoming future world-changers.
At Caulfield Junior College, we understand the immense responsibility we have in shaping the minds of our students. We believe in supporting them as they transition from early childhood settings into their primary education. We see them not just as learners, but as young individuals with unique talents and potential. Our goal is to provide an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and connected.
Our school motto, "Leading the Way," reflects our commitment to empowering our students to become leaders in their own right. We believe that by fostering their potential, we are paving the way for a brighter future.
Over a century ago, in July 1914, Caulfield Junior College, then known as Balaclava Road Primary School, opened its doors for the first time. This momentous occasion coincided with the outbreak of World War I, highlighting the resilience and determination of the local community. With an initial enrollment of four hundred students, Balaclava Road Primary School quickly became one of the largest primary schools in Melbourne.
Prior to the establishment of our school, students residing in Caulfield North had to endure long walks through bushland or swamps to attend schools located as far as St Kilda or Malvern. Balaclava State School, which later became Caulfield Emergency Hospital, played a vital role in providing education to the community.
At Caulfield Junior College, we value and respect the rich history and culture of the land we stand on. We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation, both past and present, and honor the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Join us at Caulfield Junior College, where we are committed to providing a holistic education that prepares our students to lead the way in the future. Discover the endless possibilities that await your child within our supportive and inclusive learning community.
