In addition to our commitment to eye care, the ACO is also dedicated to improving eye health outcomes through the National Vision Research Institute (NVRI). For over 50 years, the NVRI has been at the forefront of eye health research in Australia. While our focus is shifting towards clinical, public health, and translational research, we continue to make significant contributions to the field.

When you become a member of the ACO, you join a collegial optometry community that spans across Australia and New Zealand. With over 1000 optometrists and students, our members enjoy numerous benefits, including discounted access to our education and professional development programs.
