Welcome to Peninsula Gardens Bushland Reserve! Located in Rosebud, Jetty Road, 349, our establishment is a must-visit park and point of interest in Australia. As part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire's commitment to biodiversity conservation, we manage nearly 2000 hectares of public land, including bushland, foreshore, and roadside reserves.

Our pristine remnant areas of bushland serve as vital habitats for the diverse range of plants and animals found on the Peninsula. To protect and enhance this biodiversity, we have implemented various programs to combat environmental weeds, pest animals, and habitat loss. Our main focus lies in environmental weed and pest animal control. We work tirelessly to control over 40 species of high-threat environmental weeds across almost 90 reserves, ensuring the long-term preservation of our unique ecosystem.

In addition to weed control, we prioritize pest animal management to safeguard significant fauna and flora, such as the Southern Brown Bandicoot, White-footed Dunnart, Australasian Bittern, and migratory shorebirds. Through targeted efforts, we aim to control species like foxes, rabbits, and cats, which pose a threat to our precious wildlife.

While conservation is at the heart of our mission, our bushland and foreshore reserves also provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy various passive recreational activities. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll or a picnic amidst the beauty of the Australian landscape, our reserves offer a serene escape.

We greatly value community involvement, and on most weekends, our dedicated volunteers join forces with the Shire to protect the biodiversity values of these reserves as part of our Friends Group.
