Welcome to the Australian Friendship Circle, a non-profit organization located in Saint Kilda East, Vadlure Avenue, 2. Our establishment is a point of interest in the community, dedicated to creating friendships and providing support to individuals with special needs and those facing isolation.

At Friendship Circle, we believe in promoting an inclusive community that values every individual, regardless of the challenges they may face. Our programming aims to not only offer friendship but also an opportunity for individuals to become contributing members of the community.

One of our newest initiatives is Friendship House, which supports families with children who have Ultra Care Needs requiring specialist care supervision. We provide parents and siblings with much-needed respite by offering residential care for their child on weekends or weekdays. This allows the family to have peace of mind, knowing their child is in good company and receiving the care and support they need.

Established in 2003, the Australian Friendship Circle was created to address the growing needs and alleviate the sense of isolation and exclusion experienced by children and young adults with special needs. Our goal is to provide every individual with special needs the support, friendship, and inclusion they deserve.

Friendship Circle is built on the belief that every person has a soul that is equal and worthy of boundless love. By enhancing the lives of the families we serve, we also provide our volunteers with the opportunity for selfless giving and personal growth.

Our holistic approach focuses on the entire family, including the family member with special needs, their parents, and siblings. We aim to create a unique bond between volunteers and their friends through a range of activities, such as baking, arts and crafts, story-time, and hide-and-seek.

Parents speak glowingly of how their children eagerly anticipate visits from their buddies, eagerly waiting at the window for their arrival. We also host "WOW" events, where children with special needs can socialize in a nurtured environment and enjoy incredible trips and performances, giving them a true "WOW" feeling.
