"Don’t shop Here. I received a cocktail shaker set from here. I took it out of the packaging and went to wash it and the jigger had rust on it. I hadn’t used it yet. I took it back to the store with the receipt for a refund and they told me I must have used it even though I didn’t and denied me a refund despite the fact product was damaged when I opened it. Don’t buy from here - it’s a waste of money."
"Extremely disappointing timing of the store. Went there on thursday and friday in a row around 7 and 6.30, both days it was closed. We liked something in their display but no luck buying it. Their closing time on google is 8 for thursday and friday though"
"Wonderful customer service. Had a delivery breakage and exchanged without any issue. Prompt, friendly and efficient. Will definitely shop with them again."
"Hello everyone. My advice to you all would be the following...DO NOT SHOP HERE! I'll explain to you my experience shopping at this store and you can judge for yourselves if it is sufficient enough justification for my 1 star rating. My brother and I were purchasing Christmas gifts and found some of the items in the store quite eye-catching and appealing. Initially I was quite impressed since a staff member instantly asked me if my brother and I required assistance. We responded with a "No thanks" and continued shopping. Later on as we were continuing to browse, another staff member asked us how we were going and if we were sure we didn't need help. At the time I took that at face value and responded that we were fine and still didn't require assistance. Later on we noticed that there were six plates that were displayed on a table near the entrance. We were then contemplating whether we should purchase them. As my brother and I were coming to this decision, he overheard some of the staff whispering to each other. My brother told me later that the staff were scheming with each other to see how many low-grade stock they could sell to us. How very kind! >:( My brother and I decided that we would purchase them and subsequently took them to the counter. When we arrived at the counter, the lady at the registers tried to up-sell us some cups that we at the back of the wall. As someone who works in Retail, I can well understand a need by staff to up-sell and try to maximise the amount of monetary gain from a sale. I totally understand and respect that, especially for a small business/outlet. However after politely declining, the staff then tried to up-sell for three more items. One of those being a Mother's Day cooking book which, from my perspective, looked extremely out-dated and unappealing. After declining three more times (with our patience certainly being tested by this stage) the staff eventually gave-up and began wrapping our plates in tissue paper. At the store I work at, wrapping items in tissue paper is a very delicate process which should be rushed by any means. The lady serving us at the registers wrapped them rather lazily (with some of the plates being bare in areas and possibly at risk of getting scratched if they made contact with something sharp.). As a customer, let alone a Retail worker, it is not unreasonable to expect to be treated with decency and not be manipulated. Up-selling is not unethical but attempting to manipulate and deceive people is. My brother remarked to me later that he nearly put the plates down and walked out of the shop, which we probably should have after being pressured for an up-sell the third time. I don't normally write extremely negative reviews like these, but I am so bitterly disappointed with my experience that I had to share this with all of you. It would be remiss and cowardly of me not to. I sincerely hope that this is atypical of most Wheel & Barrow stores. I am extremely disappointed and encourage all of you to avoid shopping at this store. SHAME ON YOU WHEEL & BARROW EASTLAND! SHAME ON YOU!"
