At BISTECCA, we proudly serve the renowned Bistecca alla Fiorentina, made famous in Florence centuries ago and celebrated worldwide. Our premium beef is sourced from the Riverine region, spanning across southern New South Wales. Each cut is meticulously prepared, presented to diners, and cooked to a perfect medium-rare over ironbark and charcoal. The steak is then left to rest and served in traditional Italian fashion, seasoned with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
To complement the steak, we offer rustic-yet-elevated sides such as white beans or cavolo nero with confit garlic cream. "From the time you descend the back door down the stairs you’re thinking where am I going??? Once the door opens you’re transported into a cosy bar area where they make the best drinks & allows time to relax & enjoy your company before your entry into the dining area. Absolutely loved the candle surprise & the gnocchi was to die for!!! However hands down the best steak I have ever eaten!!! The knife cut through it like butter. The accompaniments of the brussel sprouts & radicchio salad were perfect. Finished with the to die for tiramisu!!! I would post photos but our phones were locked away which was a great experience because all we did was talk & laugh!!! This place is totally worth all its hype!!!! Can’t wait to revisit!!"

"One of the best meals I've had in my entire life. I really love this place and would go back in a heart beat. I generally don't eat a lot but that night I ate so much and couldn't stop because the food was out of this world. The flavors are unbelievable, the service is superb, and the ambiance top notch. My fav dishes were all of them! The roasted potatoes were a big winner for me, as was the steak and cauliflower. I generally don't enjoy medium rare steak but this was an exception - I REALLY enjoyed it! The entrance is in an alley and you'd never know what awesomeness awaits you when you enter. Dim lighting which set the mood - starting off in the bar with signature cocktails, then being led into the dining area where you feel like you're in someone's home kitchen - simplicity is the ultimate sophistication! The wood fire burning right there warmed the place up, and I really dig the fact that they took our phones away - because how else will you live in the moment and enjoy the food and atmosphere. A truly unforgettable experience 10/10 I highly recommend!"
"My favourite steak place in Sydney. Such a pity that there is no phone rule so couldn’t take any photo of the amazing dishes we had. 650-750g is a perfect portion for two if you are not overly hungry, but make sure you pick a slice that has a good portion of eye fillet (that’s the best part!!!) The side dishes are also amazing, special call-out to those cauliflowers, something alone I would crave and go back for."
"5 stars all round. Simple menu, with only one option for main. All you choose is the weight of the meat. Bone Marrow for starters and Brussel Spouts for sides was amazing and yes the steak was cooked to perfection and just beautiful. Atmosphere is great with the meat being cut but saw and cooked in view and putting the phones away makes sure conversations are flowing."
