"We were referred to the clinic by GP for my child's suspected ASD and was disappointed by the experience. The psychologist and the clinic spent extensive time explaining their charges; but mentioned nothing about the psychologist's extremely limited availability until the very end. The best they could offer were next two appointments each 3-4 wks apart. The psychologist herself admits that's not ideal (doubled of standard practice 1-2wks) and that can affect treatment outcome. It gives you the impression that they are just using you to fill up their schedule but have no consideration of your wellbeing. During the assessment while the psychologist was nice and "going through a checklist" such as bullying and anxiety, she missed the most important question; why were we there to see her/what is the pressing issue we have, which is suspected ASD. The GP's mental care plan would've also flagged this. We didn't discuss any potential ASD behaviours in the 50min consultation and to me that is a fatal flaw. Upon learning about her unavailability I asked if she specialise in ASD and she said no. In the end we spent $260 for a chat. PS. This clinic will make you do phone/zoom appointment or charge you $100 if you are sick on the day. There is only one child psychologist at this clinic and she only work two days. She is going away for 4 weeks in Nov 23. For those who is near Burwood and looking for ASD assessment/treatment, this psychologist recommend Apex Psychology or Diverse Minds."
"Very poor experience. Had to wait over 3 months for an initial appointment for my child. When I finally had an appointment the psych noted she was taking leave for several weeks and unavailable for several weeks. The consults were cut short as I waited at reception for the psych to call my daughter and the 10 mins or so that we'd waited were not added to the end of the session. The rooms have no windows. The cancellation system is also very poor, not customer focused, and offers no opportunity to reply text, or email. You need to call the practice to cancel your session and after giving over 24hrs notice I was charged $100 dollars as I needed to provide 48hrs. Very poor Admin. Not recommended."
"It’s an absolute shame that I feel obligated to give this clinic such a poor review. The clinicians within the practice are highly skilled, wonderful practitioners however, the lack of empathy and understanding of the admin staff brings shame to the practice. Administration staff run on a business mindset and money making is their main objective. Unhelpful, rigid staff when needing to feel supported is not a way to keep patients happy."
