The White Card course, also known as construction induction training or red card training, is a mandatory requirement for anyone looking to work in the construction industry. Once you complete our course, your Victorian White Card is nationally accredited and can be used anywhere in Australia.

At White Card Hallam, we offer White Card classes on a weekly basis. Our CPCWHS1001 course, "Prepare to work safely in the construction industry," is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure your safety on construction sites.

International students are welcome at Origin Institute, as we are a CRICOS provider. However, you must have a valid visa to enroll in our White Card course. We conduct VEVO checks for all international students to ensure compliance with visa requirements.

Please note that a valid photo ID is required for the issuance of the Statement of Attainment and White Card. Overseas driver's licenses are not acceptable forms of identification.

A basic understanding of reading, writing, and oral English is necessary for successful completion of our course.

It is important to be aware that as of January 1, 2023, online White Card training is no longer available in Victoria. All White Card training must be done in a face-to-face class. Beware of online scammers offering White Card courses.

When you train with Origin Institute, you don't need to bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE). Our trainer will provide them for you to use during the assessment stage.

Upon completion of our training, we will issue a Statement of Attainment (SoA) on the same day. The SoA can be used as an interim White Card for up to 60 days while you wait for your physical White Card to arrive, which typically takes 2-3 weeks.

With the SoA in hand, you can start working immediately. We usually issue the SoA on the same day as your course completion.

The White Card has no expiry date. However, if you have left the construction industry for more than 2 consecutive years, you will need to attend another White Card training.
