"Everyone has the fear that when they leave their vehicle at a workshop that upon return you will be hit with a shocking bill. Unfortunately that was my experience at the ironically named Payless. Dropped my historic car off to Joe and staff for a small job, no more than 20 mins work and a wheel alignment, was quoted $200. On return was given a bill for almost $600 because "they had to use the wire wheel to clean a part". What's worse is that they had done significant damage to my vehicle. The proprietor refused to repair the damage. My costs so far have been a new windscreen $300, 2 new tires and a wheel alignment $250 as the wheel alignment had been done incorrectly. Not long after I picked the car up it started burning a lot of oil. Was told by another mechanic that they had put a cleaning treatment thru the engine which should never be done on an older vehicle. The price for a full engine rebuild is $10 000. Payless definitely is not recommended. All in all a job I should have done myself has cost me a significant amount of money."

Joe run's a great business that has stood the test of time because he looks after people - simple as that. With Covid upon us I did some serious R&D then Shopping and ended up back with Joe & Payless. You get better, independent advice and from my experience, always a better price (and service to match). 10/10."
