"Dr Pippa Birkin was the on call paediatrician during my stay at Gosford Private. Upon meeting Pippa, she was scowling and arms were crossed. She overheard my husband and I behind the curtain discussing my c-section and she stepped in rudely to say “FYI.. I am a paediatrician not your Dr”. This was unwelcome and unnecessary! Aside from her terrible, almost defensive bedside manner, Pippa spoke over me when it came to the highly sensitive and distressing situation regarding my newborn baby. Advice to new mothers: Avoid Pippa if you want to feel confident and heard. I chose to elect another Paediatric Dr during my stay in which the hospital was accomodating."
